Thank you for registering with the Australian Electric Karting League (AEKL).
AEKL provides participation services for electric karting championship events, including race entries, registrations, and optional race weekend services. As these are event-based services rather than physical products, different refund conditions apply.
Championship Entry Fees
Race entry fees secure your place on the event grid and are used to prepare event operations before the race weekend.
- Entry fees may be cancelled for a full refund up to 30 days before the scheduled event.
- Cancellations made between 15 and 30 days before the event are eligible for a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made within 14 days of the event are generally non-refundable, as event planning, staffing and reserved grid positions have already been confirmed.
Event Cancellation
If an event is cancelled by AEKL for reasons within our control, participants will be offered one of the following options:
- Full refund, or
- Credit towards another AEKL event.
If an event is postponed, your registration will automatically transfer to the new event date. If you cannot attend the rescheduled event, please contact us to discuss available options.
Driver Transfers
Entry transfers to another driver may be approved at AEKL's discretion prior to the event. Administrative fees may apply.
Additional Services
Optional services purchased together with your event entry (including Arrive & Drive packages, race mechanic support, coaching, media packages, tyres, practice sessions or similar services) may be refunded only if cancelled at least 14 days before the event and if preparations or reservations have not already commenced.
Once equipment has been prepared, reserved, or services have been delivered, refunds may not be available.
Weather
AEKL events operate in a variety of weather conditions.
Poor weather, rain, or changing track conditions do not automatically qualify for refunds unless the event itself is officially cancelled by AEKL.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where required by law, AEKL will provide refunds, replacements, or other remedies for services that fail to meet applicable consumer guarantees.
